BIM Specialist & BIM Coordinator Junior
DigiMED is a Moroccan engineering firm delivering multidisciplinary BIM services across architecture, structure and MEP. The company works on healthcare facilities, transport infrastructure, commercial developments and cultural buildings, following ISO 19650 information-management standards.
As BIM Specialist and Coordinator, I model and coordinate across disciplines, manage the federated model and the common data environment, and drive clash detection and resolution from design through to construction-ready deliverables.
Develop coordinated Revit models for structure, architecture, façade and MEP directly from execution drawings.
Federate models in Navisworks, run automated and manual clash tests, and track resolution to closure.
Manage the common data environment in Autodesk Construction Cloud — model publication, versioning and collaboration.
Produce shop, assembly and workshop drawings to fabrication level of detail using Advance Steel.
Extract quantities and produce coordinated construction documentation from the BIM models.
Maintain ISO 19650 workflows, model health and naming conventions across the project portfolio.
Reinforced concrete structural models developed directly from execution drawings — used for coordination and construction.
I develop complete structural BIM models from execution drawings (plans d'exécution), translating engineering documentation into accurate, coordination-ready 3D models. Each model reflects the real construction intent, enabling clash detection against other disciplines and serving as a reliable basis for fabrication and on-site execution.
Structural models cover the full range of reinforced concrete elements, modeled with correct geometry, levels and parameters to support quantity extraction and downstream construction use.
Architectural and CEA (corps d'état architecturaux) modeling — partitions, finishes, false ceilings and waterproofing.
I model architectural elements and secondary works (CEA) — partitions, wall and floor finishes, false ceilings and waterproofing systems — coordinated against the structural and MEP models to keep the design buildable and conflict-free.
Architectural models are kept consistent with the design intent and detailed enough to support quantity take-off and construction documentation.
Building envelopes and façade systems modeled with precise interfaces to structure and architecture.
I model building envelopes and façade systems with attention to the interface between cladding, structure and architecture. Façade modeling demands precise coordination — fixing points, slab edges and structural supports must align perfectly.
Each façade system is coordinated against the structural model to verify support conditions and against the architectural model to maintain design integrity, eliminating conflicts before fabrication and installation.
Mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems modeled and coordinated within the federated environment.
I model and coordinate MEP systems — HVAC, plumbing and electrical routing — within the federated BIM environment, ensuring services are spatially resolved against structure and architecture before construction.
MEP coordination is critical in healthcare projects, where medical gas routing, infection control and emergency power impose strict spatial constraints that must be resolved in the model.
Steel structures modeled to fabrication level of detail with complete documentation for fabricators.
Using Autodesk Advance Steel, I model steel structures to fabrication level of detail and produce the complete documentation set required by fabricators — shop drawings, assembly drawings and workshop drawings generated directly from the detailed 3D model.
Steel models are coordinated within the federated BIM environment, ensuring connections, base plates and structural interfaces align with the concrete structure and surrounding disciplines before anything reaches the workshop.
BIM modeling and fabrication documentation for modular, prefabricated operating theatres.
I contributed to the BIM modeling and fabrication documentation of modular operating theatres — highly technical, prefabricated medical environments where dimensional precision and system integration are critical.
This work was part of one of the first large-scale operating-theatre manufacturing initiatives in Morocco — applying BIM and prefabrication methodology to deliver controlled, high-quality surgical environments.
Federation, clash detection and disciplined resolution tracking — resolving conflicts in the model, not on site.
Coordination is at the core of my role. I federate discipline models, run clash detection in Navisworks and drive the resolution process from identification to sign-off. I lead and contribute to coordination meetings and prepare models for site.
The objective is simple: resolve conflicts in the model, not on site. Systematic clash detection and disciplined resolution tracking keep construction efficient, predictable and error-free.
On-site verification, as-built checks and the link between the coordinated model and construction reality.
Beyond the model, I connect BIM to the field — verifying that the coordinated design matches site conditions, supporting as-built checks and ensuring the model remains a reliable reference throughout construction.
