Project Overview
Marrakech Menara International Airport is Morocco's second-busiest airport, serving millions of passengers annually and acting as a critical gateway for tourism to one of North Africa's most visited cities. The extension and modernisation programme responds to sustained passenger growth and the city's expanding role as a major international destination.
The project encompasses new terminal capacity, expanded airside facilities, updated landside infrastructure, and upgraded passenger handling systems. The sheer scale of an international airport project — combining complex structural systems, sophisticated MEP engineering, advanced façade engineering, and rigorous fire strategy requirements — makes it one of the most technically demanding building types for BIM coordination.
Large-span roof structures, extensive baggage handling systems, and intricate MEP routing across vast floor plates require meticulous federated BIM coordination to ensure buildability, compliance, and cost certainty throughout design and construction phases.
