Project Overview
The Marché Solidaire de la Tannerie is a solidarity market project set within the context of Morocco's rich tannery heritage. Morocco's traditional leather tanneries — most famously in Fès — are iconic cultural landmarks, and projects adjacent to or inspired by this heritage must navigate a sensitive balance between contemporary building needs and respect for historic character.
A solidarity market is a socially purposeful commercial facility designed to support artisans, small producers, and local entrepreneurs — providing affordable, well-designed market stalls and shared facilities that enable economic activity while celebrating local craft and trade traditions.
BIM coordination for this project supports the delivery of a facility that is both culturally resonant and technically robust, ensuring that market infrastructure, structural systems, and building services are fully coordinated for efficient construction and long-term operational performance.
