Project Overview
The Hôpital Universitaire International de Rabat (HUIR) is a landmark healthcare infrastructure project in Morocco — a new university hospital of significant scale, designed to serve the greater Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region and to strengthen Morocco's position as a regional leader in academic medicine.
HUIR is conceived as a state-of-the-art facility integrating clinical care, medical research, and teaching functions under one comprehensive campus. The project encompasses a broad range of specialised medical departments, operating theatres, diagnostic imaging suites, administrative buildings, and supporting infrastructure.
The complexity of multi-discipline coordination across such a large and technically demanding healthcare programme makes HUIR an exemplary BIM project, requiring meticulous model management, federated coordination, and clash resolution across architectural, structural, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
